Kathak is one of the eight classical dance forms of India, known for its elegance, rhythmic footwork, and expressive storytelling. Derived from the Sanskrit word Katha meaning "story," it was born in the hands of kathavachaks — traveling storytellers who brought mythological epics to life through gesture, expression, and movement.
Over centuries, Kathak evolved into a highly refined classical art form, blending technique, emotion, rhythm, and grace into a powerful visual experience that speaks to the soul.
